It’s been several years since the Cat® on-highway truck engine team has had the opportunity to participate in the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS). And with the pandemic, it feels like even longer since we’ve been able to interact with Cat truck engine customers in person.

We made up for that March 24-26 at the Louisville Expo Center. It was great to be back at MATS, especially this year — the 50th anniversary of the largest heavy-duty trucking event in the world. Our favorite moments included:

  • Meeting many of you face to face, seeing your trucks and hearing about your time as Cat truck engine owners
  • Getting to know several of our Million Miler Club members
  • Showcasing one of our Cat Reman on-highway truck engines
  • Answering questions and spreading awareness about all our Cat Reman product offerings

We got lots of questions at the show, but the most-asked one was this: Are you getting back into the truck engine business? The answer: We never left! Though we no longer manufacture new engines, we continue to support the million-plus Cat truck engines on the road today, as well as introduce new offerings like our Cat Reman engines with new content.

Check out the video and photos below to see our favorite MATS highlights!

The best part of the 2022 Mid-America Trucking Show? Getting to meet so many owners and drivers who love their Cat® truck engines. Come along with us as we talk to some of them about why they prefer Cat power. (Spoiler alert: reliability, dependability, durability and power top the list.)
