A MILLION MILES AND A MOOSE
Truck owners encounter a lot of roadblocks, but Pierre Tanguay has faced a bigger obstacle than most — his 1985 Ford LT 900 once hit a moose!
Still, despite chance meetings with wildlife and more than 35 years of regular service hauling bulk goods during good weather and plowing snow during the winter months, this one-owner truck is still running strong. Pierre had the original Cat 3406B engine rebuilt in February 2021 and reports that it “has purred and worked every day on snow removal since.”
Pierre is the proud owner of five other trucks powered with Cat C15 engines, but he admits to having a favorite. After logging 35,000-plus hours — equivalent to more than 1 million miles — in his Ford truck, he’s quick to say that “my Cat 3406B is still the best!”
