WINNING THE CONTRACT

Caterpillar recently won a competitively-solicited contract and much more from Sourcewell (formerly known as NJPA). The governmental cooperative contract holder evaluated responses from 14 equipment manufacturers that help governmental agencies determine best purchasing value.  Caterpillar was awarded the highest score among the 14 manufacturers.

“We are extremely proud that the inherent value in Cat^® equipment was reflected in receiving the highest scoring response to this RPF,” said Ann Schreifels, Caterpillar governmental sales manager.

COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROMOTES VALUE FOR AGENCIES

Government agencies are increasingly turning to cooperative contracts. The simple, time-saving process enables members to make decisions based on overall value. As members, the agencies have access to competitively-awarded contracts for numerous categories of equipment, supplies and services.

“Cooperative purchasing is a great way to ensure that governmental customers get the best value for their money,” said Schreifels.

In addition to new machine sales, the newly-awarded contract allows Cat dealers to sell parts, service, used equipment and to rent machines.
