Using Your Wheeled Excavator Ride Control

  2. Make sure your excavator is stationary.

TURNING ON RIDE CONTROL [00:42]

Press the ride control button on your right control panel. The indicator turns on, and the ride control symbol then displays on the monitor. The icon colors indicate what’s going on with the system.

  • Green means active. The accumulators act as shock absorbers to smooth out your ride.

  • Yellow then gray means something isn’t right. This will happen if, for example, the bucket isn’t empty.

  • Permanent yellow could mean the excavator isn’t stationary or one axle is lifted.

Remember: Always refer to your Operation and Maintenance Manual (OMM) for guidance on maintenance, safety, settings, features and more.
