Cat Inspect Web and the Cat Inspect mobile app work together to enhance your equipment management insights and decision making. With thorough PM inspections, you can identify small issues before they cause costly unplanned downtime.

CREATE CUSTOM INSPECTION FORMS

Among its many capabilities, Cat Inspect Web lets you create custom inspection forms for your unique needs. The process is easy and straightforward:

1. Sign in to Cat Inspect Web with your Caterpillar user credentials. Your Cat dealer can help you get set up.

2. Click to create a new form.

3. Name your form and select a form type and product family from the dropdown menu.

4. Tag the form with a machine serial number prefix if desired or required.

5. Select an existing inspection form template, or choose to create a form from scratch.

6. Click next to add or delete categories. 

7. Under category name, you can view, select and edit existing questions, or create new questions for your custom inspection.

8. Choose an option set. Option sets include color-coded responses and subquestions. Subquestions let users provide ratings and enter specific measurements or data.

9. Add a help option to prompt the user to provide text, images or PDF files.

10. Finally, review your information and click submit to publish your new form.
