Meet Your Co-Host: Bill Jensen

The oil and gas industry has witnessed many changes in recent years. From intermittent operations to jobsites running nearly 24 hours a day to workforce constraints to emissions-reducing technology, the dynamics keep operators, drilling companies and oilfield service providers on their toes. As a 40-year industry veteran, SPM Oil & Gas Senior Technical Fellow and Technical Services Manager Bill Jensen has seen it all – and he looks forward to bringing the benefit of his hard-earned insight to The Energy Pipeline podcast as a co-host to share how the industry is responding to today’s challenges.

 “When I first started in oil and gas, an entire frac job was two hours, and now two hours is just one stage of many,” Bill mused.

Over the years, he’s observed the crucial role aftermarket service providers – and advanced technologies – play in not only helping companies maintain their equipment but also reduce their costs. A trustworthy and expert service provider makes a meaningful difference in the oilfield, and the ability to make that kind of impact so the world can have reliable access to energy has fueled Bill’s passion for the industry decade after decade.

As co-host, Bill looks forward to exploring new ways companies are increasing the sustainability of their operations as well as improving operational efficiency. He’ll also dig deep into trends in the field to help listeners continuously enhance their operations.
