EPA AND IMO EMISSIONS UPGRADES
FOR SELECT 3508, 3512, AND 3516
Dockside engine emission upgrades are possible without major vessel modifications, and genuine Cat parts are used for exceptional durability.
Upgrade select non-certified engines with mechanical fuel systems to EPA Tier 1 or Tier 2 Certified:
- Demonstrated significant reductions in particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, and carbon monoxide
- Certified for compliance with the US EPA Marine Final Rule (Remanufacturing Program) under 40 CFR Part 1042
- Recognized by the California Air Resource Board (CARB) and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
Upgrade select propulsion engines to EPA Tier 2 or Tier 3 with EPA Verified Upgrades:
- Demonstrated to achieve target EPA Tier 2 or Tier 3 emissions levels
- Verified for compliance with US EPA Verified Technologies List for Clean Diesel
- Recognized by the California Air Resource Board (CARB) and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
Upgrade any engine to an available cleaner EPA certified configuration:
- Rebuild the engine to a cleaner-certified configuration
- Recognized compliance with US EPA under 40 CFR Part 1068
Upgrade select non-certified and IMO I engines to IMO II certified:
- Full compliance with IMO II, including EIAPP certificate and technical file without onboard emissions measurement

Reduce emissions with our 3600 EUI Upgrade Kit. Install ADEM™ III technology, designed to regulate engine fuel injection timing and duration, and dispense exact fuel amounts at every cycle for optimized engine combustion.
Improving fuel injection means reducing combustion byproducts. Reduce maintenance checks and maximize fuel efficiency. It's better for the environment — and better for you.

EPA TIER 4 AND IMO III EMISSIONS RETROFITS
FOR SELECT 3600 AND C280 MARINE ENGINES*
Breathe new life into your vessel with IMO III and EPA Tier 4 emissions retrofits. Like 3600 performance upgrades, the engine is updated to our EUI with ADEM™ III technology, designed to regulate engine solenoid timing and duration and dispense exact fuel amounts at every cycle for optimized engine combustion. Further, the after-treatment is retrofitted to meet EPA Tier 4 and/or IMO III emissions.
For US-flagged vessels, upgrade to an available EPA Tier 4 certified configuration with EPA Recognized Rebuilds:
- Rebuild the engine to an EPA Tier 4 certified configuration with after treatment
- Recognized compliance with US EPA under 40 CFR Part 1068
For non-US flagged vessels, upgrade to IMO III:
- Rebuild the engine to an IMO III certified configuration with after-treatment
- Full compliance with IMO III, including EIAPP certificate and technical file
*Not applicable to 3618 and 3600 HFO engines
IMO III EMISSIONS RETROFITS
FOR SELECT C7.1, C9.3, C18, C32, AND 3500 MARINE ENGINES
Breathe new life into your vessel with IMO III emissions retrofits. Aftertreatment retrofits to IMO II engines achieve IMO II/III switchable emissions, certified for life with IMO Scheme A emissions certification.
- Full compliance with IMO III, including EIAPP certificate and technical file without onboard emissions measurement
- Certified for life with IMO Scheme A certification
- Switchable SCR; dosing can be turned off to save fluid consumption when operating outside of IMO ECA zones
- Available for select Cat C32 and 3500 marine propulsion and auxiliary engines
- Available for select Cat C7.1, C9.3, and C18 marine auxiliary engines
- Select 3500 IMO I engines can also be rebuilt to IMO II to achieve IMO II/III switchable emissions when paired with after treatment
