SMS Terms & Conditions

Cat Financial offers subscription text message programs. Customers may opt-in online, by customer service, or by text to enroll in a text message program. You will have an opportunity to opt-in to the alert programs via a reply to an initial text message you receive. By replying Y to the message you receive you are confirming a subscription to the text message program.

Please read these SMS Terms and Conditions carefully. By signing up for one or more text messaging programs, you expressly consent to receive non-marketing text messages from Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation (“Cat Financial” or “we” or “us”) and others texting on its behalf, including text messages made with an automatic telephone dialing system (“autodialer”), at the telephone number(s) that you provide. You may opt-out of these communications at any time, and consent to receive text messages is not required to purchase any goods or services.

Program Description

Cat Financial and its service providers may use an autodialer to deliver text messages to you. Cat Financial text messages are intended to provide you with information regarding your transactions with us.

Message Content

You acknowledge that our text messages may include information about your transactions with us, an application or your account, including your account balance or payment due date. We will never include your full account number, password, or other sensitive information in a text message.

Message Frequency

The number of Cat Financial text messages that you receive will vary depending on how many text messaging programs for which you sign up to receive messages and the number of transactions you have with us.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply to each text message sent or received in connection with Cat Financial text messages, as provided in your mobile telephone service rate plan (please contact your mobile telephone carrier for pricing plans), in addition to any applicable roaming charges. Cat Financial does not impose a separate fee for sending Cat Financial text messages; however, you are responsible for any fees imposed by your mobile carrier of any kind whatsoever.

How to Opt-In

To opt-in to receive text messages from a Cat Financial text messaging program(s), please follow the instructions provided by the specific program from which you wish to receive messages. Once you enroll in a Cat Financial text message alert program, you will have an opportunity to confirm or decline the service via a reply to an initial text message you will receive. By replying Y to this initial message, you are confirming a subscription to the text message program.

How to Opt-Out

To stop receiving text messages from a specific Cat Financial text messaging program, text STOP to the five-digit short code for the text messaging program from which you no longer wish to receive messages (i.e., the five-digit number from which its text messages are being sent). You acknowledge that you will then receive one (1) final message from Cat Financial confirming your opt-out of that text messaging program. Following such confirmation message, no additional text messages associated with that program will be sent to you unless you re-activate your subscription. This will only opt you out of the specific text messaging program associated with that five-digit short code. You will remain opted in to other Cat Financial text messaging programs.

Your Mobile Telephone Number

You represent that you are the account holder for the mobile telephone number(s) that you enroll. You are responsible for notifying Cat Financial immediately if you change your mobile telephone number. You may notify Cat Financial of a number change by contacting Customer Service at 1-800-651-0567.

You agree to indemnify Cat Financial in full for all claims, expenses, and damages related to or caused in whole or in part by your failure to notify Cat Financial if you change your telephone number.
