Cat Certified Rebuild
A Cat Certified Rebuild (CCR) restores like-new performance to a machine or major component. It’s a comprehensive rebuild process that can include:
- Optional full Equipment Protection Plan (EPP) coverage
- A new rebuild identification number*
- New parts warranties on all replaced parts
- Rebuild held to Cat’s comprehensive process and standards

Cat Rebuilds come in all shapes and sizes. You can rebuild your entire machine from the ground up or focus on a specific major component. The first step is to work with your Cat dealer to determine the best plan for your machine and your operational needs. Then choose from the range of available rebuild options.

Full Machine Rebuild
A full machine rebuild gives your machine a whole new life — with options for all new enhancements, upgrades and more. Each machine is completely disassembled and put back together with care and precision. Approximately 7,000 parts are replaced with new or remanufactured Cat parts.
With a Cat Certified Rebuild, your finished machine then receives a new Cat Rebuild Identification Number, proving that it has been tested to perform at the highest standards — all for a fraction of the cost of new.
Powertrain Rebuilds
A Powertrain Rebuild replaces approximately 3,000 parts with new or remanufactured Cat parts, including:
- Radiators
- Engines
- Transmissions
- Torque converters
- Final drives
- Axles
- Brakes & Differentials
For a fraction of the price of buying a new powertrain, you get extended service life and the maximum return on your equipment investment. Plus, if you would would like to add the reconditioning of a key component or system like your mainframes or undercarriage, you can opt for the Powertrain Plus Rebuild.
Component Rebuilds
Along with replacing non-reusable parts, Component Rebuilds give you the option to improve your machine with the latest engineering. At its core, a Component Rebuild covers the replacement and reconditioning of essential machine components, including:
