Caterpillar Launches New Diesel Generator Sets for Stationary Standby Applications

DEERFIELD, IL – Caterpillar Inc. today announced the introduction of Cat® GC diesel generator sets, a new line of standby power solutions configured with an optimized mix of common features that offers excellent customer value by delivering performance with a minimal footprint. 

The line includes eight new models with standby power ratings from 250 kW to 600 kW, and it is engineered to Caterpillar’s high standards for reliability and productivity, with best-in-class support from the Cat dealer network.  

Available now in North America for applications in 60Hz operating environments, Cat GC generator sets include the customary two-year warranty for standby power solutions from Caterpillar, with a suite of additional extended service coverage options available. Caterpillar supplies matching enclosures for applications requiring noise attenuation or protection from the elements. 

The generator sets can be equipped with Cat Connect Remote Asset Monitoring, which provides data visualization, reporting, and alerts that are accessible from anywhere in the world through an easy-to-use web interface.
