Let’s learn how to maintain your Cat® 150/160 motor grader. Proper, regular maintenance is crucial for optimizing performance and extending the life and usability of your machine. The following video will take you through some of the most important points of motor grader maintenance.
Before getting started, remember to always refer to your Operation and Maintenance Manual for guidance on maintenance, safety, settings, feature and more. Check your motor grader’s fluids regularly and replace them according to your motor grader’s recommended change intervals. Make sure your fluid filters and air filters are checked often and replaced as needed; you will find these grouped together on your machine for easy access. Inspect your work tool and tires for cracks, wear and damage, and inspect your powertrain daily, making sure that it’s clear of debris. Check for leaks and loose segment bolts. And practice all recommended safe operating procedures.
