The new Cat® CB68B expands our proven family of tandem vibratory rollers with a new, 14-metric-ton compactor that offers 84-inch drums.
This roller brings the latest efficiency-enhancing technology to a new size class. Combined with superior operator visibility and industry-leading vibratory systems, you have a powerful new workhorse for pulling more profit out of every hour on the job.
Intelligent Compaction
Optional Cat compaction control increases productivity while recording key data for quality control purposes. Dual infrared sensors provide real-time guidance on when to begin and stop rolling. Pass-count and temperature mapping help operators achieve target density and maintain an ideal temperature range.
Exceptional Operator Control
The Cat CB68B offers unobstructed sightlines, standard 180-degree seat positioning and abundant drum lighting for excellent all-around visibility. Innovative handwheel steering technology eliminates the need for a front console, with fingertip controls integrated into the seat for easy access.
Two Vibratory System Options
This machine can be specified in either of these vibratory configurations to match your amplitude and frequency requirements:
• The five amplitude system is a heavy hitter for thick lifts and tough mix designs, offering a single frequency and five amplitudes that can be fine-tuned to match your application.
• The Versa Vibe system offers four amplitudes and two frequencies to create two machines in one. Choose from two settings for lighter-hitting thin lifts, plus two more for when the job calls for heavy hitting and thick lifts.
Dependable powertrain
A Cat C4.4 ACERT™ engine delivers ample power while meeting EPA Tier 3 and EU Stage IIIA emission standards, with a variety of features to reduce fuel consumption, including Eco-mode. An electronic control module (ECM) also helps to optimize performance through precisely synchronized timing and fuel delivery.
