Exhaust Valves

MAK™ PARTS, REPAIR OPTIONS AND KITS

Genuine MaK™ exhaust valves are designed for exceptional service life. Thanks to their extremely high wear resistance, they can be reused several times. Some customers have been able to achieve more than 30,000 hours of service from a single reassembled valve.

Our exhaust valves are faced with one of the most sophisticated heat and corrosion resistant material available today. Powder welding to the valve, using a proprietary process designed by MaK engineers, ensures complete fusion and bonding to the parent material. Customers using MaK manufactured exhaust valves have benefited from their exceptional service life.

We aim to provide the lowest operating costs possible, and our valves help us deliver on that commitment. By reducing costs for replacement valves and labor, we deliver lower costs than aftermarket valves.

Caterpillar has developed a new valve design for the M 43 & M 46 DF resulting from continuous product development, stricter emissions requirements and lower emission limits.

With a rotator below the valve, the wingless valve spindles produce a positive, constant rotation independent of the exhaust flow, improving wear and reducing thermal load.
