All engines manufactured by Caterpillar Motoren meet the required marine standards including, but not limited to, those of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS). We, at Caterpillar Motoren, go one step further and are continually optimizing our systems in order to further limit the risks of daily operation.

An additional exhaust insulation as well as charge air cooler insulation further reduce the surface temperature of the exhaust gas pipes.

By installing the additional splash protection, the low-pressure system is provided with a further cover that protects against leaking fuel.
