What do you learn at MLLC? Is the training any good? And how can you make use of your knowledge out in the field? We wanted to hear from the student themselves, so we asked three technicians what they thought about their training at Miami Lakes Learning Center. Here’s their verdict.

– At Miami Lakes Learning Center, they’ve got the whole shebang. And for me, personally, that’s what burns the lesson in. I mean I can sit and read about equipment a hundred times, but it’s only when I can put my hands on it and see how it behaves that it really sticks.

–  I have proved myself at MLLC, that means I’m proven for the field. The title of G3600 commissioning technician certified at the Miami Lakes Learning Center comes with quite a bit of pride for me. 

– It’s something I’ve wanted for a long time, to better understand all the systems, troubleshoot any problem and give customers years of uninterrupted operation. In that way, the certification is a big step for me. And to take the next I know exactly where to go.

– It has helped me specifically to understand how the engine works better. As far as tuning the engine, now I understand more how to use the NOx sensor. The A4 is a different beast from the A3. So I definitely learned a lot more. One desire I have is to do more emissions tests. So that definitely was a benefit, going through that training.
