Caterpillar Marine Highlights Lifecycle Services and Power Systems of the Future at TUGTECHNOLOGY 2021

Houston, Texas – Caterpillar Marine is proud to be part of the 2021 TUGTECHNOLOGY conference hosted in London, October 25-26. With delegates from all over the world, this biannual conference allows the tug industry to share the latest industry trends, practices, and diversity of thought. With over 12,000 Cat® engines in operation within the tug industry alone, Caterpillar Marine provides innovative lifecycle services and products for all tug types. Caterpillar Marine plans to highlight a range of lifecycle services and sustainability topics including Cat Customer Value Agreements (CVAs), decarbonization, and new alternative fuels.

“We are very excited to be part of 2021 TUGTECHNOLOGY. This conference is one of the most important gatherings of experts in the tug industry. Coming together in person to discuss new technologies and developments in the tug industry will support our efforts and make us more successful, said, Tug & Dredge Segment Manager for Caterpillar, Michael Braun.

With CVAs, customers can take advantage of an extensive array of service options that can be tailored to the specific needs of their operation. Recent customer success with service agreements exemplifies the range of options available from Caterpillar Marine to increase a tug owner’s vessel up-time, drive service efficiency, and enhance their overall service experience.

“A CVA helps you manage the lifecycle needs of your engine(s) and generates valuable outcomes customers look for, such as: increased uptime, reduced emissions, and lower maintenance costs. Combined with one of our digital solutions, such as Remote Fleet Vision (RFV), a CVA can provide valuable insights to engine health and performance. Caterpillar Marine offers convenient solutions to support your CVA such as monthly payments. Our goal is to provide a hassle-free solution to manage lifecycle needs for tug customers,” commented Braun.

Cat services and product experts will be available throughout the show at the Caterpillar booth to discuss services and solutions for the industry including CVA options, digital solutions, the latest engines and technology developments, and hybrid solutions.
