Circle Saver Makes Circle Drive Pinion Greasing Easy

The Cat® Circle Saver attachment kit is an inexpensive addition to help lubricate the circle drive pinion from the top of the drawbar instead of from underneath the circle. It reduces time and effort toward essential daily maintenance and cuts down on wear and tear to maximize component life.

MAKE CIRCLE DRIVE PINION GREASING EASY

Cat® Circle Saver is an inexpensive, easy-to-access lubrication option that helps you to keep the circle drive pinion on your Cat motor grader greased at all times. Available on new Cat machines, or as a retrofit kit for older equipment, the Circle Saver lubrication attachment reduces the amount of time you’ll devote to essential daily maintenance. 


CONVENIENT DRAWBAR FITTING

The attachment features a remote fitting and a grease line running from the drawbar to the pinion housing. With it, you can lubricate the pinion from the top of the drawbar instead of from underneath the circle. This means you don’t need to climb under the drawbar, so daily maintenance is easier and more convenient.

 It can be tempting to skip daily lubrication, especially in bad weather, muddy conditions or if you’re just in a hurry. But proper circle drive lubrication is the best way to minimize wear and maximize the life of the circle drive pinion. Circle Saver’s simpler lubrication procedure makes it easy to follow recommended 10-service-hour greasing intervals.

USING CIRCLE SAVER IS A BREEZE

  1. Park the machine on a level surface. 

  2. Engage the parking brake. 

  3. Stop the engine. 

  4. Lower the blade and any attachments to the ground. 

  5. Whenever possible, clean the dirt and the old lubricant from circle drive pinion teeth and from blade circle.  

  6. Pump the recommended dry film lubricant into the Circle Saver grease point shown here. It’s easy, quick and effective.
