How to Use Stability Assist for Articulated Trucks

Estimated watch time: 2 minutes

Stability assist monitors front and rear angles of your truck separately. The feature warns you when the front or rear of the truck is on a grade that’s too steep to safely hoist. An alarm will sound, and a pop-up warning will appear on your monitor. Stability assist prevents hoist until the truck is returned to a safe angle.

The machine stability screen on your monitor measures your front and rear stability through two gauges. When the needle on each gauge is in the green region, your truck is at a safe angle to hoist. Grade and hoist angle also show on the machine stability screen. [01:12]

Want to see your totals? In the service menu, enter the parameters section and tap on machine stability. You’ll see front and rear rollover counts, front and rear side slope, body angle, and machine slope.

The system logs bed rollovers and can automatically report via VisionLink® [00:49]
