USING RIMPULL ADJUST IN YOUR CAT® WHEEL LOADER
Using the Rimpull Adjust feature on your 966 XE, 972 XE, 980 XE or 982 XE Cat® Next Gen medium wheel loader allows you to adjust your wheel loader’s torque to match the conditions of your worksite. Using Rimpull Adjust helps reduce unnecessary tire spin and tire wear in poor or slick ground conditions. Let’s learn how to access it.
To adjust your Cat® XE wheel loader’s rimpull, enter the Settings menu on your next-gen monitor. Then enter the Machine Settings. There, you’ll see your rimpull adjustment function. Depending on the underfoot conditions of your worksite and the material you’re moving, you can adjust your wheel loader’s rimpull to the percentage that gives you strong penetration without unnecessary tire spin.
You can save this setting with your Operator ID to prevent having to adjust the rimpull every time you start your day’s work. And returning to maximum rimpull is as easy as clicking a single button, cutting down on your inputs.
