HOW TO USE CAT® WHEEL LOADER TECHNOLOGY

Your Cat^® wheel loader features an intelligent Economy Mode to enhance fuel efficiency without sacrificing productivity. Economy Mode limits the engine’s torque and speed based on the operating conditions with no impact on bucket load ability. Access the settings menu on the in-cab monitor to turn on Economy Mode when desired.

Use Cat^® wheel loader technology Variable Ground Speed Limiter to reduce fuel consumption and enhance safety on the jobsite. In service mode in the in-cab monitor, enter your passcode to set the maximum speeds in both forward and reverse. The recommended maximum speed is between 17 and 20 miles per hour (27-32 kilometers per hour).

Enable auto Ride Control for an added level of suspension and a more comfortable ride at higher speeds in rough operating conditions. Use Cat^® wheel loader technology to reduce cycle times and increase productivity and fuel efficiency while performing load-and-carry tasks. Ride Control automatically turns off at lower speeds and kicks back on at higher speeds. Watch this video to find out how to use the tools available with Ride Control.

Access the Engine Idle Timer through the service menu to reduce fuel consumption. By enabling the timer, your engine will automatically shut down after 3, 5, 10 or 20 minutes from the last time the throttle or implement controls were engaged. Find this setting by entering the service mode in the main menu.
