What is demand response?
When electricity demand soars (and so do prices), generating power can be expensive. With your generator set, you can transfer some or all of a facility’s load from the grid to your own asset. You may also have the opportunity to sell the power your gas generator is producing.
What are the financial benefits?
Cat natural gas generators are designed for demand response programs, which offer potential monetary benefits. Demand response programs offered by utilities compensate large energy users for producing extra power during high consumption, such as during extremely hot or cold weather or after work and school hours. Utilities pay users in demand response programs for generating extra power during peak consumption times and exporting it to the grid.

Natural Gas
- Lower emissions: Natural gas fuels produce lower NOx, sulphur dioxide, and CO2 than diesel.
- Long-term savings: There are typically lower average fuels costs with gas products, lowering your total cost of ownership.
