Your COVID-19 Resource Center

You’ve always done the work. For your people, your communities, your families and your business. This hasn’t changed. But your day-to-day life has. It has for us, too.

However, our dedication to the safety, health and well-being of our people, our dealers, our customers and the communities they serve has not changed. Caterpillar and Cat® dealers are here to help provide uninterrupted access to the products and services you need to get the job done safely and effectively.

As always, safety is a priority. Caterpillar has implemented safeguards in our facilities to protect team members, including increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting facilities, social distancing practices and other measures consistent with specific regulatory requirements and guidance from health authorities. Read our official Caterpillar response to find out more about how we’re protecting our people, while giving you the support you need.

Committing $8.5 Million to Global COVID-19 Response Efforts

The Caterpillar Foundation is proud to help support communities around the world. On March 30 they announced an $8.5 million investment to support global COVID-19 response efforts.

The investment supports nonprofit organizations who are responding to the pandemic; providing resources to hospitals, medical staff and patients; addressing food insecurity; and enabling online STEM and coding education for youth impacted by school closures.

At the same time, they’re supporting local communities by engaging Caterpillar facilities to donate to local charities in an effort to create the biggest impact in their own backyards.

Bringing Comfort to NYC

When New York City needed extra hospital beds to care for the influx of patients during the COVID-19 crisis, McCallister Towing and Transportation answered the call.  The company’s fleet of tugboats, powered by Cat® engines, assisted in bringing the hospital ship USNS Comfort into New York City.

The ship arrived with nearly 1,200 personnel, including Cat dealer employee Tina Bryan. Tina is the Rental Manager of Boyd CAT’s Jeffersonville, IN branch and for the past 15 years has been a member of the U.S. Navy Reserves. She’s serving as a Hospital Corpsman Chief on the Comfort.

Thank you McCallister Towing and Tina Bryan for your important work!

Keeping The Water Flowing at Minnesota Hospital

Minnesota contractor Dirtworks Inc. is doing their part to serve their community. Vice President Steve Strandlund recently shared how the team worked 24 hours straight to get their local hospital back up and running after a watermain break.

"Want to know what's so unique about the construction industry? THE PEOPLE. Some days, we get calls in the middle of the day that require employees to work 24 hours straight to help fix critical things such as a broken water main. Two days ago, that water main was at our local hospital...

There's plenty of chaos out there right now and more than ever we are proud to have one heck of a team of people that pulls together to serve our customers and our local community. And at the end of the day, that makes it all worth it.

Hats off to all of the good people in the world, in any industry, doing their part to keep the world turning without caring if they are in the spotlight or getting the credit."
